Ashley began dancing at the age of five and received her early ballet training from Eastern Connecticut Ballet. Having attended several summer programs including The Boston Ballet, and The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, she then spent two years as a competitor in the Youth America Grand Prix. In her High School years, Ashley began training with Festival Ballet Providence and shorty became a professional dancer with the company by the age of 17. She has performed in numerous productions such as Balanchine's Rubies and Donizetti, Anthony Tutor's Continuo, and Leaves are Fading. She has starred as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet choreographed by Yves de Bouteiller, Princess Budhur in 1001 Nights by Eldar Aliev, Cygnets in Swan Lake and as the Snow Queen, Columbine Doll, Marzipan, and Arabian in The Nutcracker just to name a few roles! Other various works have included pieces by Viktor Plotnikov, Avichai Scher, and Mihailo Djuric. Ashley’s passion for the art of ballet has not only allowed her to perform, but has also lead her to quite the career as an instructor. She shares her art at several studios in and around Massachusetts, Rhode Island and in San Diego. She is very excited to be joining the staff of Narragansett Performing Arts Centre this season to train and influence her students in the wonderful world of ballet! We’re excited to welcome her to our dance family!
